Practice Makes Perfect

Today’s case illustrated the importance of developing a good rapport with your client.  By spending hours practicing responses to the types of quesitons that I would ask as well as those that might be raise dby baord members, my client was quite comfortable, relaxed and able to think on his feet.  These practice sessions refreshed his  memory and brought to mind anecdotes that helped the adjudicators to better understand his physical limitations.  As a result, we won- clearly and convincingly.  Trial advocacy is really about story-teliing, you know.  And the story that we are conveying is the story of your life. By practicing and preparing, we can make it a success story vice a tragic comedy. The choice is yours- I opt for preparation.  How about you?
