The Most Important Question You Will Be Asked During VA C&P Exams for IDES Cases

The most important question you will be asked about any referred diagnoses are listed on Page One of your VA Form 21-0819 is how these medical conditions impact you in the performance of your duties.  If you want to be found Fit and anticipate that you may have to fight this issue on the FPEB level, then you should describe why these conditions do not impact you in the performance of your duties. If you wish to be found Unfit, then you should be able to provide several examples of activities in which you are adversely impacted by these conditions.  Do not underestimate the significance of this question, as both IPEB and FPEB members review C&P questionnaires for your answer to this question for each potentially unfitting condition.
