Reviewing Your VA C&P Exams for Accuracy

If you are in the IDES process and have completed your VA C&P exams, then you should wait for about two weeks and then request a copy of these exams from your PEBLO.  Why? Because of these exams are the primary documents that the VA Rating Activity uses to assign disability ratings to your DOD referred and service-connected conditions. If there are any errors, you should immediately bring these discrepancies to the attention of your attorney, your PEBLO and the drafter of your medical board. By documenting these errors now on a VA Form 4138 and in a rebuttal to your medical board narrative, you will dramatically increase your odds of winning on a VA One-time Reconsideration Request as well as in subsequent VA appeals.
