Critical Navy Election of Options Timelines

For all Navy and Marine Corps cases, the current timeline for submitting your Election of Options or Petition for Relief is 15 calendar days from the date of receipt. In other words, if the 15h day is a Friday, your EEO or PFR must be in no later than 2359 that day- otherwise, it will be rejected. But, if the 15^th day falls on a Saturday, Sunday or federal holiday, then the EEO or PFR is due by 2359 on the next business day. Extensions may be granted upon good cause shown. However, if you have not been granted an extension and you submit your EEO or PFR after the 15^th calendar day , it is likely to be rejected.
